01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
When an evening calls for lingering over regional sake alongside fresh raw fish, Shiraishi provides a dependable spread. Beyond well-regarded sashimi, the selection ranges from humble staples like fragrant grilled eggplant and boiled chamame soybeans to thoughtful drinking snacks such as deep-fried loach, briskly fried after being steeped in sake.
The menu also features small plates such as bakudan, house pickles, and small horse mackerel, offering the flexibility to sample multiple flavors at reasonable prices. Enjoyed alongside a diverse selection of regional sake or draft beer, an after-work drink readily turns into a leisurely meal.
Welcomed by the warm hospitality of the husband-and-wife owners, the dining room carries an unpretentious, relaxed atmosphere suitable for a solo drink at the counter or an evening meal around a table. Service begins in the evening at 18:00, and advance reservations are accepted.
